"I am haunted by imagery. I cannot be at peace until an idea has been realized. As such, my life is a constant struggle to be patient and trust there will be time for the endless possibilities circling within my mind. Inspiration is never lacking... only time and means, although I do recognize these are limited by choice and my children play an integral part in my work, for that matter everything within my experience feeds into my expression."
-------Jennifer Peters
Samsara refers to the Sanskrit/Pali word for "world," yet it is also utilized for the concept of rebirth and the cyclical nature of life. Jennifer was compelled to realize this piece, so she tackled the remainder of the painting at home. It is a visual exploration of the concept of the new seasons of life we all undergo. For the artist, this was a vital step in moving forward after the death of her late son Anthony, however society at large could use a rebirth as well in the wake of our current pandemic.
Life moves forward. We will never move on from precious Anthony, but we do continue to live, as he lives on in our hearts and minds. I will love you forever and a day, my sweet little boy.
