Bone China

This stunning collection of miniature sculptures delves into the process not only of creating and rendering/refining, but the beauty of composition on a three dimensional scale. The artist finds beauty in the juxtaposition of life and decay, discarded elements, rust, the play of what is "raw" with what is "refined."

These objects are found, cast, carved, hand-painted and assembled into lovely sonnets. Not only do they honor these minute elements, whether that be bone, wood, metal or porcelain, they also serve as beautiful reminders to stop amid the harried pace of our culture and really take in the infinite beauty that surrounds us everyday.
